Tommy v2 Online site info
Tommy v2 Online was launched on March 23, 2004. It was a tiny little site, with all of 3 pathetic articles and about 3 images. No one ever heard of it, and certainly no one ever went to it. Months down the road, I kept writing and adding new articles. For the most part, it looked like this:
Eventually, the site grew in popularity. I decided to spent the big bucks and buy a real domain. Tommyv2.com was born! At this time I would like to mention that owning a domain costs next to nothing. Do not let other assholes fool you into paying for their site or "supporting" their traffic costs. Unlimited traffic hosting costs about $9 USD a month. Cheaper if you look harder. Under no circumstances should anyone ever ask you to support their hosting fees. Greedy fuckers.
As the site kept getting more and more popular, I changed the design a bit to brighten it up a little. I kept writing and adding new content, especially the popular v2FM radio show. It was a huge hit. The site looked a little like this:
I kept changing tiny little things bit by bit - until the end of November, 2006. I gained massive popularity on account of the famous "MySpace ruined the Internet like the iPod ruined music" article. This led to the next big hit, which was even more popular - The famous Verizon Exit Interview. It was written at the start of 2005, but no one really noticed until recently. At the beginning of 2007, I added my public forums which have become a big hit with the hardcore Tommy v2 fans around the world. I am one of the few famous webmasters that actively participates on their own forums. It's my life, and you can tell I have way too much free time.
Well now, I present to you Tommy v2 Online version 2.0, launched February 18, 2007. The site was redesigned by Impression One Communications, of which you'll find a link to on every single page. Ahem. Small price to pay for such great work. The site now looks like this:
But you knew that, obviously. So, here's to the future of Tommy v2 Online! Thanks for all your support and keep those emails coming in.
